The first-ever W.A.S.D show has been and gone, but the delightful industry insight that was shared during the event won’t be lost if you were unable to attend. We’re uploading all of the excellent panel discussions from the PCGamesN Theatre to our YouTube channel for those of you who missed out, and the latest is all about the return to physical events and what communities can do to create safe spaces.
The talk was chaired by Game Dev London’s Ahmed El-Badawi, and he was joined by Kat Welsford from Games Industry Gathering and Save Point Industry Gathering, Jade Leamcharaskul from POC in Play and Game Dev London, and Tom Bradstreet from Into Games.
With the pandemic slowly coming to an end, physical events like W.A.S.D. are going to become more and more common again – but after several years where everyone was confined to a digital-only realm with entirely online meetings, the return to a physical age can be quite a daunting idea. The panel discusses how communities can mitigate this, and create safe spaces for everyone in this post-pandemic future.
