New footage of 60s psychedelic roguelike We Happy Few has just been shown at the Xbox E3 2016 conference and it looks quite brilliant. The 60s psychedelia and quaint British charm are there, as expected, but the trailer shows off what looks like the game’s opening few minutes, and they’re jam-packed with 60s British style.

Without combing through it for possible details and revelations, the footage’s most notable quality is just how much it calls to mind the style and cinematic quality of the Bioshock franchise. Check it out below.

We’re still not sure on how exactly We Happy Few will play out, but seeing as it calls to mind one of the best gaming franchises of all time – in tone and spirit, at least – we’re pretty excited to see more.
