Splitgate combines the movement and lateral thinking of Portal, with the fast-paced chaos of arena shooters like Quake and Unreal Tournament.
There are plenty of action-packed gamemodes to get stuck into. Once you reach level ten, keep an eye on Splitgate’s weekly challenges, as they grant a hefty amount of experience upon completion.
Challenges often involve completing races; single-player challenges that task you with collecting a series of shiny disco balls as quickly as possible.
Disco balls always appear in the same order, so you can optimise your runs by memorising their locations and planning routes. This makes the most out of the portals at your disposal.
There are several races available, each of them based on a different map. To start a race, navigate to the ‘Training’ tab at the top of your screen, and select ‘Race’ on the left.
Above the words ‘Race Training’ on the bottom left, there are two arrows that you can use to navigate between race maps. Here’s where you can find the map required to complete your weekly challenge.
All that’s left is to complete the time trial by collecting all the disco balls as quickly as possible. If you’re looking for help improving your Splitgate skills, check out our tips guide.
