Windows 10

Microsoft have nailed now a release window for its next version of its operating system. Windows 10 will be released this summer in 190 different countries. Furthermore, the software giant has confirmed that if you’re an existing Windows user with Windows 7, Windows 8.1, or Windows Phone 8.1, you’ll be able to upgrade to Windows 10 for free.

The free upgrade will only be available for the first year, so if you’re eligible be sure to upgrade within twelve months.

In regards to gaming, Windows 10 is important as it will be shipping with DirectX 12, the newest version of Microsoft’s graphics technology that is core to so many PC games. Windows 10 also comes with a new Xbox app that allows PC and console players to use Xbox Live and the various functions of that system. Various Windows 10 games will also be cross-platform with Xbox One, such as Fable Legends.

Finally the system will also allow Xbox One games to be streamed to your PC.
