Dark fantasy FPS Witchfire is expanding its early access offering with an entire new city to explore. There's a whole lot of content dropping with the Webgrave Update, including the opportunity to explore Velmorne, a twisted city which my Warhammer-pilled mind immediately imagines as a digital Mordheim. I'll take any excuse to load up my flintlock pistol and take aim at a demonic beast of yore, and this is the perfect opportunity to get on board the Witchfire train and trundle headfirst towards salvation station. Whether you're new to the world of witch hunting or a seasoned pro with the blessing of the Pope himself, there's no better time to jump in.
The Webgrave Update's main focus is the new map, Velmorne. What was once a beautiful city has become twisted and broken with the witch's dark magic. Its streets decayed and its residents deformed, it's your job to purge Velmorne of dark magic and return safe to your sanctuary. Velmorne adds a close-quarters city fight flavor to Witchfire's existing maps, and promises a fresh experience for those taking to its cursed streets.
However, that's far from the only change. As all the best FPS games do, Witchfire has added new armaments and spells to its extensive roster, as well as tweaking both the weapon and gear systems to offer more clarity. There's also a brand new, comprehensive tutorial- something many players have asked for. You find this in a small, bespoke area before you reach the Hermitory, allowing you to better understand the game when you first jump in.
The update also adds a brand new system to customise your Preyer's abilities. Rosary Beads offer countless new build options, and I can't wait to see how they interact with the game's existing systems, skills, and upgrades.

Finally, The Astronauts is introducing a brand new difficulty setting for those of you who are gluttons for divine punishment. Gnosis VI raises the stakes (get it? Like for killing vampires and- never mind) for hardcore players. If that wasn't enough to whet your whistle, Witchfire is currently 20% off on Steam and Epic Games Store, the game's biggest discount to date.
