World of Warplanes not due out the hangar until November

Wargaming have announced that they still need a few weeks to perform vital engine checks on World of Warplanes before allowing the scheduled flight to depart. Warplanes will now be heading to the skies on November 12th. By then everything should be in tip-top condition and ready to be riddled with bullet holes in exhilarating aerial dog fights.

“We are committed to releasing a great title and are doing everything to ensure that World of Warplanes gets the final polish we believe the game needs. The extra time will allow the development team to fine-tune the game balance and make sure that every feature is top-notch before launch.” explained director of operations Vlad Belozerov.

Like its bigger brother World of Tanks, World of Warplanes will be a free-to-play, microtransaction-funded combat game. Featuring air vehicles from different periods and five different nations, the game is currently in beta and will hit full release as soon as Wargaming have finished sprucing it up. The final release will be spread across November 12th and 13th, a few weeks later than initially scheduled September 25th. Potential pilots can sign up for combat duty at the World of Warplanes website.
