Here’s a good news story: responding to the news that Eastern European players of Borderlands 2 would be receiving a Russian version of the game, over the international version many would have preferred, 2K have announced in a statement to RPS that the players affected will receive two versions of the game: The Russian version and the International version.

“2K Games and 1C Company have updated the PC versions of Borderlands 2 that are purchased from both retail locations and via digital distribution in Russia, the Baltic states, and CIS territories,” said a nameless, faceless, anonymous man. “Consumers in these countries will now receive a bundle that contains both the 1C Russian language version of Borderlands 2, as well as the 2K Games worldwide (English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, and Japanese) version of the game.”

The only snafu: the two versions aren’t compatible – so plan ahead if you’re planning to play in a gorup.
