Is 13 years too long to wait to release new content for your game? Forgotten Empires and SkyBox Labs don't think so, as they're working on Tale of the Dragon, an Eastern-themed expansion for Age of Mythology over a decade after the original release.
Now I know this term is bandied around a lot, but the Age of Empires RTS games and their spin-offs are timeless. I'll always remember the sound of the clang of steel on steel as my units attack an enemy. They're classics in every sense of the word and a return to that will be fabulous.
This follows the release of Age of Mythology: Extended Edition, which released in May last year. The Extended Edition came with updated visuals, including global lighting, improved water, an improved rendering engine and day and night cycles.
