AMD slated to unveil new flagship Radeon GPU at E3

AMD New GPU

AMD have teased that they will announced and unveil their new GPU at this year’s E3 event. Not much is know – only that it will capitalise on AMD’s new “High Bandwidth Memory” technology, amongst other things.

With Nvidia having just launched their premium GTX 980Ti – which offers Titan-like performance at a fraction of the cost – this GPU from AMD will likely be a direct competitor to the Maxwell line of cards.

AMD have been advertising their High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) technology, which is supposed to offer a chip which has extremely low power consumption, while not compromising its efficiency or throughput.

If you want to see what AMD have in mind for the future of their GPUs, tune in their livecast of the announcement on June 16th, 9am PST.
