Assassin’s Creed creator Patrice Desilets’s next game is Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey

Panache

Patrice Desilets, ex-creative director at Ubisoft on the first two Assassin’s Creed games, has gone all indie and set up his own studio: Panache Digital Games. His current project has been revealed to be Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, a game that appears to span across a huge amount of human history. Clearly part of the Assassin’s Creed idea hasn’t left his mind entirely.

The short presentation at Reboot Develop event in Croatia revealed very little other than a vague premise for the game, summed up in the tagline “The greatest journey of all, our own.” The trailer listed some of humanity’s greatest achievements, starting with the Higgs boson discover, and stretching back all the way to the invention of early tools by primitive people.

With no gameplay shown at all, it appears Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is in an exceptionally early phase of development. Panache are looking for new staff though, so presumably the studio needs to bolster its ranks before any heavy work can be done.

Thanks, VG247.
