Steep mountains, thick mud, and deep canyons - that's the kind of terrain you can expect to tackle in Baja: Edge of Control HD. Yes, the 2008 off-road racing game has had a new lick of paint for its arrival on Steam, courtesy of publishers THQ Nordic. You can expect more detailed visuals and for the game to run smoothly even in 4K.
You have more than 160 vehicles to choose from, including trucks, 4x4s, and buggies - just what you need to take on the near-vertical hill climbs and off-road endurance challenges. If you want something with a little more speed, however, you can always take on the circuit and head-to-head races, either against the computer, in four-player split-screen, or 16-player online multiplayer.
Plenty of choice, especially as there are over 100 tracks to race on across different landscapes, with some lasting up to four hours in total. Oh, and as you'd hope, you can tweak your chosen vehicle with over 200 parts, all of which are affected by and react to the game's physics. And when you want to relinquish some of that control you can head into the game's freeroam mode to discover hidden tracks and jumps.
