Battlefield 1 is getting a public test server

Battlefield 1 port review

A public test server is heading to Battlefield 1. EA are calling it the Community Test Environment (CTE), and it’s coming exclusively to PC, initially.

The CTE showed up in both Battlefield 4 and Hardline, so it’s no massive surprise it’s being added to DICE’s WW1 shooter.

Players with access will be able to test out all the new balance changes, tweaks and bug fixes, with the first run arriving just before the February patch and the ‘They Shall Not Pass’ DLC following shortly after.

Invites are being sent to community members right now, with redeemable Origin codes appearing in inboxes. You can register your interest through the game’s companion app on Android and iOS.

You have to be a Premium member to qualify. DICE haven’t mentioned whether players will get any benefits from participating, and there’s currently no exact launch date.

Cheers, VG247.
