Call of Duty: Warzone gets solo mode

Warzone's already adding a solo playlist

If you don’t have a pair of friends to drop with – or you just prefer the thrill of battle royale games on your own – Call of Duty: Warzone‘s trios-only launch has been a major limitation. That’s changed today, as the game’s latest update has introduced a solo mode to Warzone, just one week after the title’s original launch.

You can now join the battle royale solos playlist in Call of Duty: Warzone, right alongside Plunder and the standard battle royale with three-person squads. The patch notes on the official site make no mention of this being a limited-time mode, though Call of Duty tends to frequently change up its playlists from week to week. For now, just enjoy it while it lasts.

You could always play solo in Warzone, though previously you’d simply be dropping in alone against myriad other players grouped into squads. Given the fifteen million players Warzone accrued in its first few days, it doesn’t look like Infinity Ward has any worries about spreading players thin between too many modes.

Given how fast solo mode was added, you might want to keep your fingers crossed for duos and squads.
