There are a lot of free-to-play games out there but not many manage to balance challenge that both keeps you on your toes and tests your tactical planning. That’s what Chronicles of Eidola is promising – a new magical world that lets you find your own battle style within its turn-based combat. You pick your heroic Eidola and then set out to build and customise a team of fighters around them, heading into unpredictable and dynamic battles.
You don’t have to fight alone in this browser-based RPG (made in a new 3D engine, which enable 3D imaging to work well in any browser) as it has plenty of multiplayer functionality. First, there’s the PvE, in which you can invite friends to join you in Guild Battles, where co-ordination and team positioning is absolutely crucial, or you can face the Gauntlet, to really test your skills to their limit. There’s also the PvP Arena, where you can earn luxury rewards every day, so long as you’re in top fighting form. There are also mini-games to play for something completely different, including Rat Race and Orb Breaker.
