Crysis 2 texture mod beta will have you ask one more time: “Can it run Crysis?”

Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli said during Gamescom that he wants to bring back the phrase: “Can it run Crysis?”. But he needn’t – modders have already unlocked the latent potential behind his last game’s barren graphics options menu.

MaLDoHD 4.0 is in beta, and comes with all of the disclaimers and wet paint that term usually implies – as its creator points out, maple tree textures aren’t done, okay, so don’t even go there – and you’ll next to start a new game for the changes to take affect.
