Cyberpunk 2077 effectively has bullet time

cyberpunk 2077 bullet time

There is an inhaler-based reflex booster in Cyberpunk 2077 that, when used, transports you into what is effectively bullet time. It slows down the action and lets you watch as bullets fly past.

As a first-person RPG, you should be thinking more F.E.A.R. than Max Payne for this mechanic in Cyberpunk 2077, but that’s no bad thing as Monolith’s shooter was incredible. It was like putting your face into a John Woo movie.

Whether the reflex booster is just one of many kinds of consumable is unclear, but it will be fascinating to see what else CD Projekt Red might have come up with. There are all sorts of status effects that could be given to you through items – though, I imagine at least one of them will be a Deus-Ex-style drunk hazy view after downing one too many whiskys.

We still don’t know the Cyberpunk 2077 release date but there are tons of details seeping out of interviews and preview sessions at E3.

According to Game Informer, there is a “reflex booster” that slows down time to give you an advantage in combat.

Associate designer Kyle Rowley said during an interview with GameSpot that the team “will be significantly more open” in the future. So we should have to wait another five years for a new trailer or to know what the hell CD Projekt Red is working on.
