Dauntless’ alpha test is in two months – you’ll need to buy a Founder’s Pack to get in

Dauntless alpha

If you can’t wait to play Dauntless, the Monster Hunter-alike co-op RPG, they’re going to be letting people in on the alpha in just a couple of months. On top of that, they’re lifting the lid on streaming the game: those with access will be able to record and stream the game openly.

If you’ve bought in at the highest tier – a Founder Founder’s Pack (yes, that’s what it’s called) – you’ll be able to to get into the ‘pre-beta event’ on August 18th. There’s no word on how long the event will go on for, if progression will carry over from the event to the main game, and so on, but it’s going to be the first time the public are able to get in on the action.

The Founder Founder’s Pack costs $79.99 (about £62 or €71), and comes with a whole lot of extra in-game content. The full list of what you get at that tier – and in the other two Founder’s Packs – can be found over on the Dauntless website.

For creative types, they’re also setting up the Dauntless Partner Program, for people who create videos or art to “become part of the Dauntless family.” Applications aren’t open yet, and the team will be revealing what the program entails in the “coming weeks.”

This was all revealed on their blog, which has the details for how to get your finger on the button with the Dauntless Partner Program.
