The original, Xbox 360-exclusive Dead Rising is coming to PC

Dead Rising 4

Get ready to be malled (that’s a pun) to death – the original Dead Rising is making its way to PC, a decade after its release on Xbox 360.

In the mood for the walking dead? Here’s our list of the best zombie games on PC.

There have been rumours flying about over the past few days of a Dead Rising remaster, but it seems like those rumours had legs, unlike Dead Rising’s zombies once you find the katana.

While there’s been no confirmation that it’s a remaster, Capcom have finally admitted Dead Rising is coming to PC. I can’t see it making its way over without the odd tweak, especially considering the amount of effort that’s going into remastering the Resident Evil series.

“Capcom will be bringing Dead Rising to Xbox One, PS4, and PC,” the publisher said in a statement shared withGameSpot. “In addition, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record will make their way onto Xbox One and PS4.”

Dead Rising 2 is already on PC, so there’s no need for that to come across, but it will be good to revisit the original game again. There’s just something about zombies in shopping malls, isn’t there?

It makes sense for Capcom to release the original again, what with Dead Rising sharing the game’s protagonist, Frank West, when it releases this December. It’s unknown when Dead Rising is releasing on PC, but I’d bet on it being way before then.
