Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will launch with DirectX 12 support

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided follows on two years after the events of Human Revolution, once again letting you don the floral emblazoned jacket and deadly chisel elbows of Adam Jensen. Actually, scrap that – I don’t see any floral pattern on the jacket in the screen above. This is the worst news ever.

I was fully expecting the sequel to place us in the augmented boots of a new character, but more gruff Jensen, with his perfect hair and even better beard – even if he bought a new jacket – is fine with me.

While we don’t know the exact launch date for the game, we know it’s out next year and I personally can’t wait to get sneaky, stabby, shooty and cloaky when it does.

We now also know it will support DirectX 12 from the outset thanks to TweakTown, who had a chat with AMD’s chief gaming scientist (which is apparently an actual job title) Richard Huddy, where he confirmed the detail.

As well as supporting DirectX 12, Mankind Divided will also include AMD’s own TressFX Hair 3.0 technology and have a built-in benchmark for AMD cards.

When it comes to GPUs *stares at the camera and raises an eyebrow* it seems mankind really will be… divided.
