Nero is back in Devil May Cry 5, out spring 2019

Devil May Cry 5

Devil May Cry 5 has just been announced at Microsoft’s E3 conference. Ten years after the release of Devil May Cry 4, the series is returning to make a new, true sequel.

It features Nero, who featured in Devil May Cry 4, but Dante, the original protagonist of the series, did appear at the end of the trailer. That suggests that the DMC reboot (that was technically the most recent release in the series) is being largely left behind.

Nero has a new metal arm, which looks a lot like something out of Metal Gear Solid V, which, as his companion so eloquently put it, is there to help him “kick demon ass”.

Devil May Cry 5 is due for release in spring 2019.
