Diablo 3’s real money auction house is now live in the USA, with other territories “coming soon”.
The auction house allows players to buy items, trade goods and gold with real dollars, up to a $250 limit. Blizzard takes either a dollar, for every item sale, or 15% of the transaction, for every batch of commodity goods and gold.
Players will need an authenticator attached to their battle.net account to use the auction house.
Any proceeds are kept in a battle.net balance which is subject to a 15% withdrawal fee if you decide to cash out. Let us know if you manage to sell anything at a profit: there’s a stack of tasty yellows in my stash that I want to convert into a nice dinner out.
