Split-screen co-op and controller support are coming to Divinity: Original Sin 2

Divinity Original Sin 2

Larian Studios have announced plans to release full controller support and split-screen co-op to their RPG sequel, Divinity: Original Sin 2. The game doesn’t leave Early Access until September 14 but it’s already feature-rich. Now it’s getting even richer.

Grab a friend and play our list of the best co-op games

Split-screen co-op is a rare sight on PC so you might want to cherish the fact that the RPG sequel is now playable with a friend in your house. You can even hook them up to a spare controller for full comfort.

Elsewhere, a bunch of other new features have also been added. You can now combine books to craft bespoke skills – mix necromancy with fire and you’ll be able to explode corpses, for example.

Rune Crafting adds even more versatility to your character spec, too, letting you improve weapons and armour.

Another feature allows you to chat to important characters you’ve accidentally murdered, via the medium of ghost talking. If killing them wasn’t enough, you can even suck their powers from their soul via Source Vampirism. If you have the Pet Pal talent, you can even chat to dead animals.
