MLG announce plans for another North American Dota 2 league

Major League Gaming are pushing a another season of its North American Dota 2 league following the success of this past seaston adn the upcoming Fall Invitational. The game will also feature in their 2014 Pro Circuit, and there will we weekly games broadcast through their streaming channels.

 

The new league will begin on 6 January with teams playing for $210,000 in prizes. The league will run till June 20 – 22. The teams that compete in the MLG Championship stand to win $150,000.

The current league will culminate this November with teams competing in the MLG Championship in Columbus, Ohio. The top four teams there will be entered into the pro circuit against teams like Evil Geniuses, Team Liquid, and Fnatic.

MLG’s other new venture is a new set of matches to be broadcast three times a week. Beginning today, Dota 2 games will be shown every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 6pm ET.
