While still a ways off, Dragon Age 3: Inquisition is getting some teasing love with the slightest of details mentioned at the Bioware panel at yesterday’s Edmonton Comic and Entertainment Expo. As well as some concept images that shows something of the scale Bioware are trying to achieve in their new game.

Joystiq were all over this one, collecting together tweets from Bioware producer Cameron Lee, who was attending the panel presented by the studio’s John Perry and Mike Laidlaw:

John Perry said he’s had a longer pre-production on DA3 than any other BioWare project he’s worked on”

Mike: customization is going to be bigger than Dragon age origins. Follower customization etc.”

JP said just one level in#DA3is as big as all of DA2’s levels

As well as the header image, these two shots appeared in Bioware’s blog yesterday.

Bioware are aiming for big. Their games have always achieved largess in tone but often that scale was hindered by small hubs, or hubs that appeared large but their limits were quickly discovered by handy barricades or load points (looking at you Mass Effect). Until we get our hands on the game we won’t know if those limitations have been scrubbed from the game, however.
