Skyrim: Hearthfire is out now on Steam

It’s possible you haven’t been keeping track of every name Bethesda’s two-noun fantasy moniker generator spits out, so let’s get you up to speed. For Hearthfire – Skyrim’s second DLC pack to date – think Fable 2 domesticity. We’ve got land-buying, cottaging, er, cottages, stables, gardening, and absent parenting.

Heathfire’s been out on Xbox 360 for a while, where reception has been somewhat frosty. But it arrives on Steam today at the shrug-off-able price of £3.49, which really isn’t very much at all to spend on a new child.

Also included are new tools – a drafting table and carpenter’s workbench – which can be used to turn quarried stone, clay, and sawn logs into structures and furnishings.

But of all the things to do in Skyrim, is settling down a high entry on the list? Let us know in the comments.
