Everything, that indie game that aims to simulate an entire world, is up for an Academy Award. Well, its 11-minute trailer is, at least.

Everything’s trailer is nominated for an award under the Best Animated Short Film category. It was made eligible for this prize by previously scooping a Jury Prize for animation excellence at the VIS Vienna Shorts film festival.

Narrated by philosopher Alan Watts, the trailer shows how connected our world is, via the medium of somersaulting bears. Have a watch above.

“It serves a highly educational purpose, including an important political statement, that encourages to let our egos dissolve and gain a new perspective on the world,” said the VIS Vienna jury of the ‘film’, via Eurogamer.

Everything’s creator, David OReilly, is responsible for the faux videogames that appear in Her, that drama about a man who wants to get jiggy with his computer, from Spike Jonze.
