Glimpse The Far Edge of Fate with this new trailer for patch 3.5 for Final Fantasy XIV

FFXIV Far Edge of Fate

In anticipation for the release of part one on January 17, Square Enix have released a trailer showing off all of the brand new content coming to Final Fantasy XIV in patch 3.5. Players can now scale Baelsar’s Wall with the Warrior of Light, breaching the giant fortress which separate the lands of Eorzea from the Garlean Empire.

If you’re looking for some other PC MMOs, this list should do the trick.

The holy grounds of the dragons, Sohm Al is reopening with a Hard version of its four-man dungeon, while players can now delve into Containment Bay Z1T9 to fight the Primal Zurvan as part of the Warring Triad questline. There is tons of new gear to collect and smith, new haircuts to sport and a host of new exploratory missions should they take your fancy.

Patch 3.5 sees more improvements to the Party Finder as players from other worlds in the same data centre can join up to complete raids. For the person who enjoys PvP, there are new updates to Frontline and Duel modes in this patch, alongside a new map for The Feast battleground. After many player requests, this patch also adds the ability to use the Duty Finder while with their chocobo.

The second half of The Far Edge of Fate content update will launch sometime in March, so you’ll have to wait until then to see the conclusion of some of these new questlines. Dedicated FFXIV fans will also be happy to know that tickets are now available for Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest 2017, which is set to take place in Frankfurt, Germany from February 18-19. Spots are highly sought after for this FFXIV blowout so buy tickets now to avoid disappointment.
