GOG’s Summer Sale kicks off now, with a curated collection from PCGamesN

Pillars of Eternity 2 story

The GOG Summer Gaming sale starts today, offering discounts of up to 90% on more than 1,300 deals from across the platform’s selection of games. This year, the team here at PCGamesN has selected a handful of games that we think are worth picking up in the sale.

The good news is that, even if you don’t like our selection, there are plenty of benefits to buying from GOG during the sale. For one thing, you can get Xenonauts absolutely free for 48 hours from the start of the sale. Spend $5 and you’ll get a free copy of Sunless Skies to add to your haul. Push that to $20 and you’ll also get indie adventure RiME.

Don’t wade into the sale unprepared – check out our list of the best PC games.

The bad news, of course, is that if you don’t like any of our games, someone here will have spent at least some of their time curating a list of games for no reason whatsoever. It’s an eclectic bunch though, so there should be something you like – we’ve got everything from massive RPGs to tactical turn-based adventures.

Top of the list is Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, but if you don’t have hundreds of hours to pour into a new CRPG, why not pour hundreds of hours into The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt? Or try out Divinity: Original Sin 2?

If you fancy a slightly smaller RPG, we’ve got Fallout: New Vegas and Kingdom Come: Deliverance as some pretty good options. There’s also classic adventure games The Curse of Monkey Island and Grim Fandango Remastered if you fancy fighting people with insults or visiting the world of the undead.

If you’re a fan of turn-based strategy, then you should particularly enjoy our collection, which includes BattleTech, Into the Breach, The Banner Saga 1 and 2, and Invisible Inc. If disadvantaged city-building is more your jam, there’s Frostpunk and Tropico 5 to sink your teeth into.

Rounding out the list are Stardew Valley, Galactic Civilizations III, Swat 4, Undertale, Kerbal Space Program, and Dying Light: The Following. You can check out the PCGamesN Collection via GOG right now. The GOG Summer Gaming Sale will run through 23:00 BST on June 18.
