Blizzard nerf Undertaker after Hearthstone balance wobble

Hearthstone

Blizzard might have designed Goblins vs Gnomes to ensure that neither side could ever truly overcome the other, but one card introduced in the game’s Naxxramas campaign overstepped its worth in mana. Undertaker was “frustrating to play against” – and has had its stats tweaked to make Hearthstone a “more fun and interactive game for everyone”.

Undertaker was weak when summoned, but used to gain +1 attack and +1 heath whenever a minion with Deathrattle joined the board. Now the health increase has been wiped from its card description.

“Undertaker was frustrating to play against,” explained Blizzard. “It often gained both Attack and Health stats significantly above those of other inexpensive minions very early in the game.”

The dev team reckon that players will still benefit from fielding Undertaker as part of a Deathrattle-themed deck, but should expect the card to fall more readily under the blows of other minions.

For a limited time after the balance change goes live, the golden version of Undertaker will be disenchantable for its full cost.

“We will continue to make balance changes to Hearthstone when we feel they are necessary in order to increase the variety of cards seen at all levels of play,” added Blizzard.

Is that a worthy undertaking, do you think? Sorry.
