The people at Twitch are clearly feeling generous this Christmas season, as the streaming service is currently offering a grand total of 15 games for free to those of you who have Twitch Prime accounts. And as if that weren’t enough, the giving keeps on going, as you’ll now be able to gift games to your friends.
Earlier this month, a handful of titles became available through the program. There’s Smoke and Sacrifice, detective-themed hacking game Hacknet, and Poi, a 3D platformer. On top of those, you can get your hands on the SNK Bundle, which includes Metal Slug 2 and a handful of other titles. All of those will be available until December 31.
Last week, however, a bunch of titles from indie publisher Devolver Digital became available, and it’s an impressive collection. Hotline Miami and Hotline Miami 2 are both on offer, as well as explosive platformer Broforce and Strafe, a roguelike FPS. If you fancy something a little less ultra-violent, there’s also Crossing Souls, The Swords of Ditto, and acclaimed platformer The Messenger on offer.
As ever, if you want to claim your free games, you’ll need to have an active Amazon Prime subscription, and have attached your Amazon account to your Twitch account. If that’s covered, head to the Twitch loot page, and claim your free games – you’ll have until January 31 to claim all those Devolver titles. To install them and play them, you’ll need to download the Twitch desktop app, and then head to its ‘Games’ tab.

Gifting has been made available for the first time, allowing players to send a free copy of eligible games to their friends, as well as keeping a copy for themselves.Your friend won’t need a Twitch Prime account, but you’ll need to send your gift by December 31. Sadly however, your friends won’t be able to take advantage of those new Devolver games.
