A chill is in the air, the holidays are around the corner, and that can mean only one thing: it’s time to spend ridiculous amounts of money on giant stacks of very cheap videogames. The stacks are metaphorical since we’re in the age of digital distribution, but the deals are very much real, with the Humble Store fall sale leading us into a deal-filled wonderland.
Without spending a penny, you can grab some Suda 51 madness with Killer is Dead for free over the next 48 hours. While it’s not No More Heroes 3 – or even Travis Strikes Again – it is an excellent pick for fans of weird things. I know you’re out there.
A wide array of publishers are represented in the sale proper, including Rockstar, Capcom, Deep Silver, Konami, Kalypso, Telltale, and THQ Nordic. Rockstar are particularly notable in that list, as there’s a rare 50% discount on Grand Theft Auto V in there, as well as a very cheap complete L.A. Noire collection well-timed with the console rereleases.
Other big deals in the list include Metal Gear Solid V at 33% off, Resident Evil 7 at 50%, and perennial indie favorite Undertale also at half off. Telltale are even offering their currently ongoing Batman: The Enemy Within series at 40% off. And I’d be remiss if I didn’t recommend the obtuse charms of Dragon’s Dogman in its excellent PC version at a 60% discount.
The publisher sales will be individually expiring throughout the next week, with Konami going first after the weekend. So go forth, and purchase videogames. Tis the season.
