While Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realm is technically a clicker game, there’s more to it than wearing your mouse and forefinger out. There’s proper strategy going on here – it’s not an official Dungeon & Dragons-based game for no reason.
The game is all about the art of formation strategy. You’re tasked with taking on an onslaught of powerful monsters and assembling a party of heroes that are fit to take on the job. But you also need to make sure they’re positioned well on the battleground in order to secure a victory, combining their different abilities to maximise their effectiveness.

You won’t have access to all of the heroes right away, of course. Being a clicker, you’ll need to tap your way through the fight in order to output damage and find gold. From there, with victories behind them, your heroes can upgrade, collect better gear, and learn new special abilities – all of which helps them cut through bigger and beastier hordes.
