Deadlight hits Steam with new trailer

Tequila Works: not only a useful adage, but a Madrid development studio featuring alumni from both Blizzard and world’s-best visual effects team Weta Digital. Earlier this year they released survival horror “cinematic platformer” Deadlight on Xbox Live, which has arrived quite unexpectedly today on Steam.

The premise sees a man named Randall search for his wife and child in the zombie apocalypse -only it’s the zombie apocalypse in Seattle, 1986, so not quite as you’ll remember it. To play, it’s a sort of post-Limbo 2.5D platformer that actively discourages combat. You can see combat not happening in the Steam trailer below.

Tempted? It’s currently £8.49 on Steam.
