Obsidian’s Project Eternity will be DRM free and available on GOG

As Obsidian’s Project Eternity Kickstarter ticker rolls up and up, they’ve begun to hit stretch goals and reveal more plans for the game. Phill’s already detailed some of the game’s features, leaving me with the distribution news.

In conjunction with GOG, Obsidian will be releasing a DRM free edition of Project Eternity.

(This doesn’t extend to the Mac version because GOG currently don’t support the platform.)

For those who don’t mind their game being pumped to the gills with IP protections, there will be a Steam version too.

Obsidian also announced that backers of the Collector’s Edition will recievebeta access to the game.

In other news, having now passed $1.6 million, Obsidian will be adding “a new major storyline along with new quests, locations, NPCs, and unique loot (special histories everyone?).”

Let the Kickstarting continue.
