A handful of prominent LoL pros have joined forces to form a superteam. Michael “Imaqtpie” Santana, William “scarra” Li, Marcus “Dyrus” Hill, Danny “Shiphtur” Le, and Joedat “Voyboy” Esfahani are returning to competitive play after a short hiatus.

Mark “MarkZ” Zimmerman will be taking up coaching duties as the Echo Fox team tear up the challenger circuit. That’s right, this group of legends will be wiping out noobs in the development league. They say they plan to have more fun than other teams, and that’s no doubt because they will be wiping everyone out. Fun!

“I said I closed the book on my professional story, but I’m opening it back up again,” said Dyrus, who’s now a successful streamer. “I missed the energy of the crowd and the thrill of competition, and with a great player-focused organization like Echo Fox behind us, I get to focus on playing how I want to play.”

All of the players have seen success on Twitch, with Imaqtpie recently winning the “Streamer Of The Year” award at the esports industry celebrations. They’ll now either be juggling the streaming alongside their pro careers or abandoning it entirely. Time will tell.

“You have to be in it to win it, and every one of these players has proved this time and time again, whether competing professionally or building their own brands and identities through livestreaming,” added CEO Rick Fox. “These are tremendous athletes with tremendous identities.”

Cheers, DOTesports.
