Although it’s hardly surprising with the Intel Extreme Masters tournament kicking off in Cologne, Riot have stated that they’re going to be headed to Gamescom, bringing with them hourly stage shows, Cosplay events and an entire booth dedicated to the game, down in Hall 8.
Previously events have had unique skins available to those who attend, with the likes of PAX Svir and Riot Singed being exclusive to attendees. I’m not saying there’s going to be something like that at Gamescom, but I’d be surprised if there weren’t at least a few perks for showing up in person to wave a friendly hand at the people who make and moderate such a ridiculously popular game. You’ll have to head on down to Cologne between the 16th and 19th of August to find out, though. You can’t find out from your bedroom. Because Gamescom isn’t in your bedroom.
