The premise of Leap of Fate is not your standard videogame fare. There are no bosses or even enemies in the traditional sense – the only obstacles the characters face is their own demons as they fight through the Crucible of Fates, a series of magical tests that grant immense power to the victor.
Taking place in the shadows of a cyberpunk New York, you play as four mages, each with their own storyline and abilities, as they journey through the Crucible to discover their purpose. An isometric roguelike with fast-paced gameplay, Leap of Fates requires quick thinking lest you enjoy restarting from the beginning every time you die. Almost everything in the game is randomly generated through the use of magical tarot cards called the Deck of Fates, which determine the layout and enemy placements for each level. Every run in the game is different, as it also randomly generates your skill tree and abilities on each fresh start.
