Mass Effect 3’s Rebellion multiplayer DLC pack to launch on May 29

Mass Effect 3’s free multiplayer DLC, titled Rebellion, will be released via Origin on May 29 in North America and Europe. The pack includes six new unlockable characters, two new maps, new weapons and a new gear slot.

The new worlds for you to co-operatively kick the shit out of are Firebase Jade, on Sur’Kesh and Firebase Goddess on Thessia. Joining you in the co-operative shit-kicking are ex-Cerberus Adept and Vanguard, the Vorcha Soldier and Sentinal and the Quarian Engineer and Infiltrator. To kick shit properly, you’ll need new weapons, which are supplied in the form of the Cerberus Harrier, Krysae Sniper Rifle, and Reegar Carbine.

Mass Effect developers Bioware and publishers EA have been surprisingly benevolent when it comes to DLC, even providing a new non-rubbish ending. The Rebellion pack sounds like exactly what we’d expect from free DLC, though: it was probably going to be a paid-for pack, but then Bioware just couldn’t be bothered to finish it.
