The Metal Gear games are always pretty heavy on melodrama, and it looks like the Phantom Pain will be no different. Most of the videos we’ve seen so far of the game have emphasised the open world and mechanical possibilities, but this trailer from Gamescom is almost entirely taken from the games elaborate story cut scenes.
People dying in slow motion, gruffly voices, absurdly ugly villains, and boss fights from (literal?) hell. Yup, this is definitely a Metal Gear Solid game.
