Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord hits Steam in 41 days

The wait is finally coming to an end

Finally, the wait is coming to an end. After an interminable number of previews and teasers, the Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord release date is set – and, perhaps predictably, it’s the very last day of TaleWorlds’ planned release window. But we can finally start the countdown – Bannerlord hits Steam in 41 days.

Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord launches into Steam Early Access on March 31, and will be available for $49.99 / £39.99 / €49.99. That price is set to stick through to the full release. Early Access is expected to last for “around a year,” though the developers’ “focus is on ensuring that the game is fun and enjoyable rather than imposing a deadline that might have a negative impact on the final product.”

The Early Access version is “stable and playable,” and features “all the main staples of the Mount and Blade experience,” from character creation to combat and clan management. The game launches with both the single-player sandbox mode and a variety of multiplayer options.

Over the course of Early Access, the developers will add features like rebellions, weapon crafting, and kingdom creation, while expanding the initial types of content and working on polish and bug fixes.

You can head to the Steam page for more info and prepare yourself for what looks to be one of the biggest sandbox games out there – we’ll see how it all turns out very soon.
