Oculus Rift can now simulate your own beheading, if you’re that way inclined

Unity through beheadings.

Ever wondered what it’d be like to star in the climactic moment of [HO BOY WHAT A SPOILER – Ed]‘s first season? Better really think about what that might mean before you answer. No? Of course not. But that’s what the euphemistically-titled Disunion, a tiny game designed for the Oculus Rift VR headset, wants to do for you.

Disunion: The Guillotine Simulator was made in two days at the Exile Game Jam by Erkki Trummal, Andre Berlemont and Morten Brunbjerg. It asks players to place their head on the block, or chair, or coffee table, and stare blearily into the basket shortly to contain their noggin. And then? The blade falls.

Watch as playtesters are wracked with uncanny horror below:

You can download Disunion over at Unicorn 7, if you like. Do you think you will?

Thanks, Eurogamer.
