Overwatch porn searches have more than doubled since Ashe debuted

November 5, 2018 The people are searching for Ashe porn – big time.

Overwatch’s latest hero is Ashe, a Western gunslinger who immediately set hearts (and loins) aflame after her BlizzCon debut. Ashe porn was already on the internet in less than an hour, and us being the investigative journalists that we are, we went to Pornhub. Er, that is, we went to the people who run Pornhub to ask just how big Ashe’s debut has been for erotica enthusiasts.

By November 4, two days after her debut, “Ashe” searches on Pornhub were up 1233% over average. Average Overwatch searches were also up by 167%, more than double their state as of November 2.

You can see those numbers laid out in fancy graph form via Pornhub’s Insights post. (That link is basically safe for work, though you may want to mind your browser history.) Ashe might just be a perfect porn storm. People are thirsty for both Overwatch characters and the Wild West, it turns out – Red Dead Redemption spurred renewed interest in cowboy-related porn.

Ashe was revealed at 19:11 GMT on November 2. By 20:01 GMT, a popular NSFW artist had already published a drawing of her without that western gear on. That’s barely 50 minutes from new character reveal to porn debut. Even among the notably thirsty Overwatch fandom, that’s gotta be some kind of record.

If you’re more interested in Ashe’s Overwatch abilities within the game itself, you can follow that link for details. You won’t even have to open an incognito tab when you do so.
