Four maps have been removed from Overwatch’s Deathmatch modes

Four maps have been removed from the Overwatch map rotation. The maps won’t automatically feature in Deathmatch or Team Deathmatch, but will still be available in custom games.

In a forum post detailing tweaks to the PC version of the game, community manager Josh Engen says the maps have left rotation in a small patch. For Xbox One and Playstation 4 versions of the game, the changes will be bundled into a larger update at a later date.

The four maps are Hanamura, Horizon Lunar Colony, Temple of Anubis, and Volskaya Industries, but Engen doesn’t offer any reason as to why they’ve been removed. Elsewhere in the update, the credit that Mercy’s Resurrect contributes towards her on-fire meter has been fixed to coincide with recent changes.

There are around half a dozen bug fixes, and some small adjustments to the spectator camera. You can read the full patch notes here.
