Overwatch Yule Log with Jeff Kaplan is back, baby

The most important Christmas tradition of all continues

It’s nearly Christmas, and that can only mean one thing – it’s time to watch Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan sit in front of a fireplace for eight hours straight. Yes, friends, the Overwatch Yule Log is coming back for another round in 2019, so get ready to enjoy another set of fast-paced, fire-staring-based thrills to help close out the year.

The 2019 Overwatch Yule Log will run on December 24, and you can expect to see the stream run on Blizzard’s official Twitch channel. The tweet announcing this year’s Yule Log specifies that it is “with Jeff Kaplan,” which seems to preclude the possibility of a star-studded lineup like the one we got in 2018.

But really, with the fatherly presence of Kaplan in front of a cozy fireplace, what more could you want? The unlikely tradition of the Yule Log kicked off with Kaplan in 2017, and now that it’s happening a third time, I think we can count on it continuing every year from now on, well into eternity.

Certainly past the Overwatch 2 release date, anyway.
