Payday 2, Shadow of Mordor, and more coming to SteamOS; all on sale now

With SteamOS and Steam Machines destined to be complete and in our homes by the end of the year, numerous developers have decided to pipe up and announce that their games will be coming to the new operating system. Among the games you can expect to see are Payday 2, Total War: Attila, Batman: Arkham Knight, and Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. 

To make sure you’ve got a library prepared for the day you PC game from your living room, Steam has put on a sale of the most exciting SteamOS games. 

Also appearing on the list is Dying Light, Hotline Miami 2, and The Witcher 3. Many of the games are currently Windows-only at the moment, but will be upgraded to SteamOS-friendly versions later in the year. Others, like Torchlight 2, are already optimised for the platform, so if you’ve been using SteamOS already you’ll find these games are ready to go.

Talking about their move to SteamOS, Bo Andersson Klint, CEO of Starbreeze said “Making sure PAYDAY 2 is available on SteamOS felt like a no-brainer.”

“With PAYDAY 2 for the SteamOS, Steam users everywhere will be able to continue their PAYDAY-experience from the couch”.
