You may remember the site that surfaced earlier this month which looked from all outward signs to be a teaser site for Prey 2. Well, it isn’t, according to Bethesda. At least, it may be a Prey 2 site but it’s not a Bethesda created one, which would heavily suggest the whole thing is a hoax.
That’s not to say Prey 2 is or isn’t in development, Bethesda’s spokesperson was very tight in their wording, specifically addressing just the website and telling Joystiq that “I don’t know what that is or who is doing it. It’s not something we’re doing.”
There’s no more news of the story after the break but there is some sad violin music to convey the disappointment that we still don’t know what the heck is going on with Prey 2.
