QuakeCon 2017 will take place in Dallas on August 24

The biggest LAN party in North America returns for its 22nd year this August. Taking place on August 24-27 at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center, Dallas, QuakeCon 2017 will once again be a celebration of PC games. And Quake.

In the spirit of LAN gaming, here’s our list of the best multiplayer games

Over 10,000 people attended last year’s event, which took place at the Hilton Anatole.

The annual convention has been going since 1996 and plays host to tournaments, workshops, panels, and exhibits from tech companies.

There are sometimes surprise hands-ons with upcoming games from Bethesda too, so I wouldn’t be shocked if Quake Champions was playable this year.

QuakeCon 2017 is free to attend and open to the public.

From the official announcement: “The Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center is also offering a special room rate of $185 per night when you reference QuakeCon 2017. Call the hotel at 1.877.491.5138 or book online.”
