Ubisoft are joining in on the ever-growing trend of offering closed beta access to people who pre-order games. The game in question this time is Rainbow Six Siege, which practically everyone is already clamoring to get their paws on anyway.
First word of the closed beta came in the form of a poster spotted in a GameStop store by reddit user j_dirty. “Pre-order today for guaranteed closed beta access” proclaims the poster.
Videogamer.com followed up the poster sighting with a question to Ubisoft, which resulted in the following statement: “Yes, you can now pre-order Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege to get access to the Closed Beta later on this year. Stay tuned for more information on the Closed Beta in the coming months.”
Coming before the closed beta is, of course, the PC alpha, which is still accepting sign-ups.
