Razer Blade upgrade has an absurdly high-res screen and Nvidia 970M GPU

Razer’s 14-inch gaming laptop is getting a little overhaul. The new Razer Blade will be significantly more powerful than the current iteration, but will stay at exactly the same $2,200 price tag.

For that money, you’ll be picking up a super-thin laptop with a screen with so much resolution the pixels may even burst from the bezel.

The upgraded Blade sees all the core components replaced. The CPU is now a i7 4720HQ, the GPU a Nvidia GTX 970M, and the memory doubled to 16GB RAM. That processor is clocked at 2.6GHz and can be turbo-boosted to 3.6GHz.

The touch screen display has a resolution of 3200×1800, which is sure to look incredibly beautiful.

You can save yourself $200 by picking up a Razer with 8GB RAM and a 1080p screen, although that doesn’t seem like much of a bargain when the better model is quite significantly better.

You can place your order at the Razer online store now, in anticipation of its February 16th release date.
