New screenshots of Lord of the Rings Online: Riders of Rohan show off the effect players can have on the world. Turning dark, dreary hovels into dark, dreary hovels with curtains.
Check them out after the break.
The expansion hits the open market next month on October 15th, bringing with it an extra 10 levels - raising the cap to 85, mounted combat, and a whole new quest line that covers "
the breaking of the Fellowship at Amon Hen; forge alliances with the Ents of Fangorn; and aid Éomer, adopted son of Théoden, as he seeks to protect his homeland from the growing Shadow."
From the screens it also appears that you'll be regenerating areas of the Rohirrim kingdom. Check out these before and afters:
Dirty, dark, dreary...
Lick o' point and flags. It's like changing rooms but without screams of "Oh my God!"
This colour does nothing for me...
Much better, though that guy in the back is carrying an unfeasible number of logs.
Barren. Like my uterus-less abdomen.
Fertile. The Nadya Suleman or fields.
This and so much more before and afters undoubtedly wait for us in the full expansion.
At least we'll be seeing one Lord of the Rings game this year. What with Warner Brothers stalling the Middle-Earth Roleplaying Project.
